TAFE achieved its best performance in fiscal year 2026 through record tractor sales that reached 2,14,951 units. The company outpaced industry growth to become India's second-largest tractor manufacturer, supported by a strong presence in both domestic and global markets.
Lakshmi Venu, Vice Chairman of TAFE, stated:
“This has been a very positive year for both the tractor market and for farmers across the country. In addition to favourable monsoons, the government’s move to reduce GST has provided significant relief to the farming sector.
We are now seeing a very encouraging trend in the penetration of mechanisation in rural areas. This year marks a meaningful shift in access to mechanisation for small farmers, with many first-time users entering the ecosystem. This will go a long way in improving farm productivity and strengthening farmer incomes across the country.”
Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE), established in 1960 and headquartered in Chennai, is one of the leading global tractor manufacturers. The company sells over 200,000 tractors annually and exports to more than 80 countries.
Its key brands include Massey Ferguson, Eicher Tractors, TAFE Tractors, and IMT. TAFE also operates across multiple business segments such as farm machinery, engines, hydraulic systems, and engineering plastics.
TAFE delivered a landmark performance in FY26 with record sales and strong growth across segments. Rising mechanisation, robust rural demand, and strategic expansion initiatives are expected to support the company’s growth trajectory in the coming years.
